Program Options Detail

These settings are accessible from the File\Options menu item.

The first three of these options can be very helpful when using the scheduler. It essentially eliminates redundant processing of files.

Skip Input Files Already Processed

This option will skip the input files specified if the corresponding output file(s) already exist.

NOTE: If your input and output are the exact same file, nothing will be done if this feature is enabled.

Delete Input Files

This option will delete the input files specified after a successful operation has been performed.

Do not enable this option unless you are confident you have backed up all critical data.

It is also recommended you disable this option before exiting the program, unless you plan on deleting input files the next time you run 'Convert XLS'.  The command line will also see this setting.

NOTE: If both the input and output files are of the same name, no deletion will occur.

Move Input Files

This option will move the input files after successfully processing them. You may specify Date/Time fields for the output folder path, making it easy to sort outputs by date or time.

Keep original (INPUT) file timestamp (Last Modified, Created, Accessed)

If you want the output file timestamp to be identical to the input file then enable this option.

While specifying Input file path, do not automatically overwrite the Output file path

In 'Convert XLS', when you type in where to find the file you want to work on (the input file), the program usually changes where it'll save the finished file (the output file) to the same place. But if you don't want that, there's a switch you can flip. Turn on this option, and the program won't automatically decide where to save your finished files.
