CPPT allows for the user interface (i.e. text within the menu's, buttons etc.) to display in the language of your choice. Select the language by using the File\Language menu item. You must restart the program for the language setting to take effect.
If your language is not available you can create it if you are multilingual. Adding or modifying a language is as simple as editing a text and placing it in the \Languages folder. The Languages folder is located at the installation folder and is usually found at:
%AppData%\Softinterface, Inc\ConvertPPT\Languages\
Typical Language File names are shown below:
Japanese-'Convert PowerPoint'.txt
German-'Convert PowerPoint'.txt
The format/name of the file is very important because CPPT looks at all file names in the Languages folder to build its available Language Files listing. The Language File name has the following format:
Language-'Convert PowerPoint'.txt
So to add a language, copy an existing language file, rename it, then edit it.
The Language File has the following format:
"English Word","Translation of EnglishWord"
"Ok","Si"
"Without","Sin"
There cannot
be any spaces between the English and Translated versions. That is the
following will not work:
"English Word" , "Translation of English Word"
"Ok" ,"Si"
"Without", "Sin"
Often you will find an ampersand character, &. You can omit these in the translated version.
If you would like to contribute to the growing language file archive and possibly receive free license(s) please see this link.
We also appreciate any corrections you may have to the existing language files.
